Born in 1954, Claudio Silvestrin was trained in Milan by A.G. Fronzoni and continued his studies at the Architectural Association in London.
His international projects have been supported by the London studio since 1989, ranging from everyday objects to domestic and commercial interiors, exhibition spaces, museum buildings and private residences.
Some of his clients include Giorgio Armani, illycaffè, Anish Kapoor, Calvin Klein and Cappellini and the ‘Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo for art’ for which he designed the recently built Turin museum. The book ‘Claudio Silvestrin’ which collects his works and writings was published by Birkhauser.
Integrity, clarity of purpose and rigorous attention to detail are the trademarks of his architecture:
austere but not extreme, contemporary and yet timeless, calm but not ascetic, strong but not intimidating, elegant but not ostentatious.
Boffi designed the I Fiumi series for the bathroom collection.
